Leading Self, Leading Others

The Revillage Foundation Program

This online program provides a  foundation of development and resources for anyone wanting to participate and lead in the co-creation of future scenarios in life and work. It is built on a premise that change starts with each one of us, and that contributing to a more peaceful, equitable and sustainable world requires inner development*: growing consciousness, awareness, empathy, and reconnecting with our creativity, imagination, and sense of possibility again.

The program has been put together considering the whole person, connecting ‘wellbeing’ with ‘welldoing’. Each participant will be guided on a journey of inquiry, self-discovery, and (un)learning in order to build resilience and resourcefulness, reconnect with their inner intelligence and creativity, learn through relationships with self and others, and create space from which they can lead others with more compassion, vulnerability, courage, and empathy as their whole self.

*The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide one relevant framework. The Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework was developed to support the individual work needed to achieve global change. More on SDGs and IDGs:

WHO IS IT FOR?

This program has been designed for people from all walks of life who find themselves at a point of transition, personally, professionally or both. People who are ready to explore the questions that come with transition, and who seek support and community to step into that exploration. People who are working on or want to get involved in bringing new, innovative, creative ideas to their organizations or are interested in starting or contributing to social impact initiatives and projects in response to their exploration.

Each cohort will be a diverse  group of participants excited to journey together, learn from each other, and create a collective space of possibilities in which they will work to create different responses to many of the questions they are holding individually and within their teams and organizations. The number of participants will be limited in each cohort to maintain the necessary intimacy and connection to support the work together.

PROGRAM PRINCIPLES:

  • Holistic: addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs

  • Creative: helping people reconnect with their sense of curiosity, wonder, and imagination

  • Adventurous: so we can explore new inner and outer horizons

  • Relational: helping us reconnect to self, others, and nature

  • Balanced: personal and professional, feminine and masculine, strategic and practical, etc

  • Constantly evolving and being co-created based on our collective learnings

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our journey together will follow these three stages, over a three month period.

Stage 1 (weeks 1-4): TUNING IN to body, mind, emotions...Take the time to understand the hidden dynamics, agreements, and behaviors that are preventing us from embracing change. Start to work with senses, with the breath, body, and intuition…Inquire into who we are, and where we come from..raise awareness of what is…Name things individually and as a group..make small commitments. Work 1:1, in small groups, with your “learning partner”, and as a whole group.

Stage 2 (weeks 5-8): LETTING GO of what is no longer needed and is preventing us from embracing the new. Generate new insights and tools to help us deal with the issues and

uncertainty we are facing. Reframe the questions we have brought to the program - sense how they have changed as the space started to open up. Learn how to be comfortable not knowing, not doing..learn to just be. Start to recognize the guidance our intuition has for us..Practice active listening…

Stage 3 (weeks 9-12): ALLOW THE NEW sense of purpose and possibility to emerge. Reconnect with our sense of curiosity, creativity, and imagination…redefine an alternative set of metrics used to measure how well we are doing in our relationships with self and others (based on intuition, purpose, and simplicity…) Allow new questions of why we are here to emerge…Work together using co-creative tools to come up with alternative solutions that were not available to us before…Start to make healthier choices in our personal and work lives. Leave the program feeling inspired, with a rediscovered sense of self, and part of a community that will continue to support each other and work together.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The program will be delivered online, as a series of inspiring talks, embodiment and creative practices, and small group discussions. We will start and finish with 1:1 sessions, to ensure we understand the individual objectives, and questions each participant is bringing to the program. Over the course of our time together, we will work to address those questions and see them evolve, allowing us to arrive at a new place of insight and possibility. Each participant will be matched with their learning partner, providing them with an additional opportunity to practice and integrate new behavior and offer and receive support to one another.
